This FITNESS program is designed to help MoverMoms get active and stay healthy BY MOVING THEIR BODIES AND GETTING THEIR HEARTS PUMPING.  EVENTS WILL BE SCHEDULED in March, July and November, MOSTLY AT DIFFERENT OUTDOOR VENUES around the region.

About MoverHealth’s Chairperson Suja Ali

Suja holds a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology and Immunology from McGill University and a Master’s degree in Human Development from the University of Maryland. 

At the age of 35, Suja was diagnosed as being pre-diabetic and that led her on a journey towards better health.  She has beaten the odds that genetics dealt her and is currently free and clear of any health issues, due in large part to her own motivation to improve her exercise routine and eating habits.  This journey led her to create her own health and wellness business and become a certified outdoor fitness instructor.

Suja has been happily married since 1986 and is “mom” to two teenage children, a boy and a girl.  She enjoys serving the community by volunteering at the schools that her children attend, her church and other community-based programs.  A great way of relieving stress for Suja is to be active.  Sometimes that means running and/or walking with her dog, hiking or gardening.  Suja enjoys sharing her passion about being proactive about one’s health with others.  Her story helps illustrate that we are all capable of achieving our goals with the right mindset, support and resources.
