Keema (ground beef)

Ingredients
1 large onion, chopped
1 cooking spoon oil
1 lb ground beef
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp ginger
1/4 tsp red pepper
1/2 ts salt
1 chopped tomato
Fresh coriander
Directions
Put oil in pot, brown onions
Add ground beef, break it up and stir
Add spices
Stir all together for 10 minutes,
Keep stirring until all spices mixed with beef Add a little water Add chopped tomato Add chopped coriander on top
NOTES:
These recipes (Keema and Daal) my mom taught me before I got married (almost 20 years ago!), which are still staples in our household and for any Pakistani family. Serve with basmati rice or naan. Enjoy! |
